Gypsum Retarder

Gypsum Retarder is a white powder agent with good flowability, which can be fully mixed and dispersed with gypsum either by screw mixing or grinding. It gives gypsum and plaster products a very low rate of strength loss after plaster hardening. It helps to ease work, improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Main Features

Gypsum Plaster Retarder extends the setting time of traditional plasters, finish plasters, lime finish plasters and set joints. By slowing down the formation of chemical crystals that cause plaster to set or harden, Gypsum Retarder gives you more time to complete each job. Gypsum Retarder is easily dispersed into water prior to adding gypsum and is available in the following formulations:

Standard Strength Retarder is recommended for light to medium (30 to 45 minutes) to extend the setting time of veneer, conventional plaster and set joint materials.

High-strength retarders can extend setting times by one to three hours, especially for machine-applied conventional plasters.
