Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from pure refined cotton, etherified under alkaline conditions with propylene oxide and chloromethane as etherizers, it is an odorless, non-toxic white or off-white powder, dissolved in cold water, dissolved into a transparent or slightly turbid colloidal viscous solution, with a degree of substitution of 1.2-2.0 in general, and its performance varies depending on the ratio of the methoxyl content and the hydroxypropyl content. Its performance is affected by the proportion of methoxy content and hydroxypropyl content and there are differences. Main components: cotton, chloromethane, propylene oxide, liquid alkali.
